Leonardo Decaprio

His name allegedly derives from his German mother Irmalin's having experienced a sudden kick from her unborn boy while enjoying a DaVinci painting at the Uffizi. In the year following his birth, she and his Italian father, George, were divorced. He grew up in Echo Park, then a particularly seedy, drug-dominated area of Los Angeles. At five he appeared on his favorite TV show "Romper Room" (1953) and was nearly thrown off for misbehaving. After a string of commercials, educational films ("Mickey's Safety Club"), occasional parts in TV series, a debut film role as Josh in Critters 3 (1991), a continuing role as the homeless boy Luke in the TV series "Growing Pains" (1985), he got his break-through part as Toby in This Boy's Life (1993), co-starring with Robert De Niro and Ellen Barkin.

The part led the New York Film Critics and the National Society of Film Critics to name him runner-up for Best Supporting Actor. His first Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations came for the difficult role of Arnie in What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993). Equally challenging parts were a drug-troubled Jim Carroll in The Basketball Diaries (1995), the tormented homosexual poet Rimbaud in Total Eclipse (1995), and the angry teenage son of a harried mother in Marvin's Room (1996). He made a major impact with his starring role in a very updated Romeo + Juliet (1996). Superstardom came to DiCaprio playing Jack Dawson in Titanic (1997), highest grossing film ever, tied with Ben-Hur (1959) for most Academy Awards, though Leo himself was not nominated. His performance in the remake of The Man in the Iron Mask (1998/I) was poorly received, but the film still turned a profit. His next major film, The Beach (2000/I), was not a success, but he made another comeback in Catch Me If You Can (2002) and remains an A-list star.

Gary Lucy

Lucy cut his acting teeth in shows like Grange Hill and Dream Team before getting the role that brought him to public attention, Luke Morgan in Hollyoaks. In this teen soap Lucy undertook a male rape storyline, for which he won the 'Best Newcomer' award at the 2000 British Soap Awards.
Lucy then went on to do three series of the ITV drama Footballers' Wives where he played Kyle Pascoe, a football player for fictional club Earl's Park. This gave him an even higher profile with the British public, partly due to the role and partly due to his offset tabloid escapades. In 2004 Lucy starred alongside Ray Winstone in the ITV drama She's Gone as Micheal Sands.
Whilst playing Kyle Pascoe in Footballers' Wives his on screen mother was Jackie Pascoe Webb, played by Gillian Taylforth. In The Bill, Gillian also plays his Sergeant Nikki Wright.

Friends, celebrity colleagues and dedicated fans of the actor packed out the Hammersmith Apollo to ask the actor a series of questions. Lucy recounted several showbiz anecdotes, did a dance routine with his "The Bill" colleague Trudie Goodwin, and sang "I got you babe" with Gillian Taylforth.
In 2009 he took part in the one-off ITV drama "Whatever it Takes". In 2009, Gary Lucy resigned from the Bill.[1]
He is taking part as a contestant in the fifth series of ITV's Dancing on Ice. and has been paired with series regular Maria Fillipov

Peter Andre

Here's the first shock for any of you non-obsessive Peter Andre fans out there. He's British! Born in Harrow to Greek-Cypriot parents, they actually bundled themselves and baby Peter down under when he was 10.
A normal life was lived (as much as one can when you're Peter Andre, obviously) and it wasn't until Peter decided to enter one of those pesky talent shows aged 16 that his road to super-stardom began.
Australian 'New Faces' saw Peter demonstrate his singing skills in front of a willing (or unwitting) audience. He must have been 'good' because one of the judges offered him a recording contract on the spot. The judge's name is Molly Meldrum if you'd like to send any hate mail on everyone's behalf.
After having what they like to call in the industry 'a string of hits', Andre was unleashed on UK music lovers. His single, 'Mysterious Girl' managed to reach number two in the charts and give him the impression that people actually had taste. They didn't.
All good things come to an end, and Peter shuffled back to Australia with his tail between his legs when his popularity dried up. And that was that, the end of the story. Or so we thought...
Peter Andre was announced as one of the contestants on ITV's 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!' for the 2004 series and from there he somehow managed to A) Get together with Jordan and B) scrape another 'hit single' for a song called Insania which nobody really liked but felt compelled to buy because they saw it on TV.
Peter and Jordan (or Katie Price, if you prefer) got married, had a lovely little family and decided ITV2 viewers should be treated to several programmes featuring them, including their cringe-inducing chat show.
But if you followed their story you'll know things didn't end well for the pair. They announced they were going their seperate ways in spring 2009 and that was that - battle lines drawn. Where were you when you decided if you were Team Andre or Team Jordan? It's like the Angelina/Aniston saga all over again and I don't think we can handle it!
Peter appeared on the Chris Moyles show in July 2009 to talk about what happened with Jordan, but did the brilliant politician's trick of not actually telling anybody anything. And so there we have it. Will Peter go and set up shop in Cyprus? We think not, he's got a new single to plug...

David Beckham

One of the few soccer players to become a household name in the United States, David Beckham has been interested in the sport since he was a child. The son of fanatical Manchester United fans, Beckham attended matches with his parents and played in youth leagues from the time he was small. He began playing for Manchester United in 1995 and shot to stardom during the 1996 season, especially gaining attention for making a goal all the way from the halfway line in a match against Wimbledon.

He stayed with Manchester United until 2002, when he took a deal to play for Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Beckham began dating Victoria_Adams, also known as Posh_Spice in 1997, and by 1999 they were married and had their first child, Brooklyn Joseph; in 2002, son Romeo followed, and Cruz, another boy, was born in 2005. The couple were complete media darlings, dominating the tabloids and followed by paparazzi everywhere. Beckham remained among the most sought-after players on earth and in 2007, he took a deal to play for the L.A. Galaxy. This would mean moving to the United States, and, as it coincided with the announcement of a planned Spice_Girls reunion for his wife, the Beckhams became the subject of an NBC reality TV special, Victoria Beckham: Coming to America. JLS

'Jack the Lad Swing' - more commonly referred to as JLS - are a Boyband consisting of members Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, 'Jonathan 'J.B.' Gill', and Oritsé Williams, all from different areas of London (England) with the exception of Aston who is originally from Peterborough (but later moved to London).

JLS were originally known as 'UFO' (Unique Famous Outrageous), but changed their name to JLS when they entered the 2008 series of "The X Factor" (2004).

While in the X Factor JLS were mentored by Louis Walsh and were Walsh's last remaining group as other two groups Walsh mentored - 'Badlashes' and 'Girlband' - received the least votes were sent home in the first two weeks.

Along with the other 2008 X Factor finalists, JLS were included in the recording a cover version of Mariah Carey's 'Hero' which was released to support the Help for Heroes Charity. The single went straight to number one in the first week of release and sold more copies than the remaining top 10 singles combined.

JLS performed numerous hits such as Michael Jackson's The Way You Make Me Feel, Rihanna's Umbrella, and various other songs by artists such as Take That, Boys II Men, Britney Spears etc. One of their most notable performances was Lonestar's I'm Already There which they performed on two nights - the semi-final and the final. During the final, JLS also performed Flying Without Wings as a duet with the original artists - Westlife.

JLS were ended up in the bottom 2 once throughout the entire season while Simon Cowell stated that they did not deserve to be in the bottom two that week and were saved, sending Rachel Hylton home.

JLS came second, as the runners up to Alexandra Burke. Despite not winning "The X Factor" (2004), JLS have gone on to sign a record deal with Epic Records in 2009 and have subsequently released their first single Beat Again for which the video premiered on June 2nd while the single wasn't officially released until 13th July 2009.
